I meant to do my long run around the block, but ended up with the shorter version, the 4 miler. It was about 90 degrees out, which was fine, I was expecting that. I ran two miles, crossed the highway, and started down Township Road 105. Which they were tarring and gravelling..so I got the nice fresh petroleum fumes. Yummy. Which is why I said, the heck with it, cooler temps will be arriving, and I can get the longer run in Friday.
So why do I feel guilty when I change my mind from the set goal?
I think I will go back to my calendar planning Sept 1. I've really been running July and August as I feel. It is sometimes better for me to note all my events, whether work or professional, on the calendar, and then see what kind of workout I can get in that day.
